Argonia

Flag of Argonia

Argonia is the westernmost state of Arjastan, with a long international border with Tomstria, as well as ones with the Arjan states of Cvajarak, Celestia and Czeraf, and it also completely surrounds the Crnovac capital territory, which until 1992 was a part of Argonia itself. The modern capital of Argonia is Argonigrad, which is actually quite a small town in the south of Argonia, but is widely recognised as the first city of the Argon people, who are quite distinct from the Arjans. Argonia was a regional power in the middle ages, and at its most powerful, in 1445, stretched all the way from the shores of modern-day Tomstria to the edges of what is now Medina in the east, and south to parts of modern-day Astoria. However, Astorian natives rebelled in 1487, sparking similar uprisings in other parts of the empire, forcing the Argonians back towards what is now modern-day Argonia. Argonia remained an independent nation until 1911, when it was united with Czeraf, Izgravia, Cvajarak, Celestia and parts of eastern Tomstria to form the original united Arjan state.
