Nation Song Contest 126 was hosted by Paper & INK and Cherniya after their 1st and 3rd placings in the 125th edition, respectively. Ujedinjeni Gvozd won by a 36-point margin over runner-up Tír an Abhainn, and Calypso achieved their first 4th place finish in nearly 120 editions, and hosted NSC 127 after the top 3 declined.
The semifinals were hosted in cyberspace, and the show featured a number of presentations from Paper & INK, including online games and an impregnation service. The theme was based on Dalisska's NSC 42 entry "Do You Wanna Date My Avatar?" by the Guild. The qualifiers were revealed by the gradual repair and switching on of the lights making up the NSC 126 banner, and the edition was concluded in a grand final hosted in the conference venue of the Cherniyak embassy in Paper & INK.
!%PT#'s nation name was reverted back to Illumia for this edition. On the other hand, this was Ölanda's final edition under the name of Ölanda, changing to Hypjø for NSC 127 onwards.
