Nation Song Contest 74 was the 74th edition of the Nation Song Contest and it was hosted for the first time in Bacchus, as a result of their win in the previous edition. Doire and Eterland both entered for the first time this edition as new roster places became available. Roseland won for the first time, beating second placed 10 Regions of Mobius by 21 points.

Controversy

This edition of the Nation Song Contest was not without its problems.

Firstly, Angelic, Flora and Lyapunovia failed to qualify in their respective semis. This was especially problematic as Angelic ended up winning the first semi-final by a landslide, with a massive 134 points. However, after the reduction they ended in 23rd place, with 33.5 points. Furthermore, Lyapunovia was prequalified for the final of the contest, and as a result of failing to vote, the nation relinquished this right. Because of this, the 11th placed nation from Semi-Final 2 qualified in their place, as its average score was higher than the 11th placer in Semi-Final 1.

Further complications arose with the rest jury in Semi-Final 2. Two countries tied for the rest jury qualifying position. However, both countries had the same number of voters, but only if the 6 point rule was included. As a concrete decision had not been made on a tie-break in such circumstances, both nation were allowed qualification, bringing the number of qualifiers from Semi-Final 2 up from the usual 11 to 13, and increasing the final number of songs to 29.
