SCORPIONIA (Scorpionian: Scorpyonya) is a nation on the Northern continent, bordered by Instir to the west, and Blondania to the east. The country is made of two provinces - Zelenovya and Plavovya. It's capital is Scorpionia City. It made it's debut in Nation Song Contest 13.

[edit] NSC 13
The Scorpionian national broadcaster (ScoTV) decided to join the NSC family, and enter the NSC 13. A national final was made, called "Scorpiosong", where 5 songs competed. All 5 songs were in Serbian language:

- Tijana Dapcević - Ne daj
- Maja Nikolić - Pokloni se
After a public voting, Maja Nikolić was the winner, and got the honour to represent Scorpionia on it's first ever NSC. Because Scorpionia never took part before, we had to qualify for the semi final the Microstate Qualifications.
[edit] NSC 14
After a good debut of Maja Nikolić, and Scorpionia, ScoTV decided to make a national final to choose our entrant for the NSC 14 as well. This time, the 5 songs that took part on the "Scorpiosong" were all in different languages. The songs were:

- Crystal - Hív a végtelen
- Jelena Karleusa - Casino (she got a second chance because she finished on the 2nd place last time)
After a public voting, Crystal were the winner, so therefore, they got the right to represent Scorpionia on NSC 14. Unfortunately, by being a microstate, Scorpionia had to enter the Microstate Prequalification again, and yet again managed to qualify for the semi final and final, and after all - TO WIN! That was the first time in the history of NSC that a microstate won the contest!
[edit] NSC 15
Because of technical problems, and for being late, Scorpionia wasn't able to host the NSC. Instead of us, the country that finished on the second place on the last NSC, Arjastan, hosted the show. This time, we couldn't even make a national final, so ScoTV decided that the Scorpionian entry for the NSC 15 should be the song which finished 2nd on the last "Scorpiosong". So, Paulina Rubio, with the song "Baila Casanova" represented our country in Arjastan. This time, Scorpionia was qualified for the final, because we won the NSC 14.

Once again, Scorpionia had no time to prepare a national final, so the choice was internal again. This time, Alanis Morissette with the song Ironic represented Scorpionia in the NSC 16, in Prasia. Being a microstate, Alanis had to qualify from the microstate prequalification, and the semi final, and she finished 2nd in the final!

After a great result of Alanis Morissette, ScoTV decided to prepare the Scorpionian NF called "Scorpiosong" once again. 5 songs, each in different language took part, and they were:

- Elena Risteska - Kreveta dva
- Sonique - Sky
After a public voting, Sonique with the song Sky won! She got 5 times 12 points from a total of 8 voters. She'll represent Scorpionia on the NSC 17 in Giggshood. Good luck Sonique!
[edit] NSC 18
For the first time, Scorpionia didn't have to qualify for being a microstate! Microstate qualifications have been cancelled, and a new way of contest was introduced - there were two semi finals, with all participating countries taking part in one of them, and the top 6 from the previous edition are directly qualified for the final of the next edition. Sonique was 10th, so our new representer had to qualify for the semi final. ScoTV introduced a new national final, with 9 songs, sang by 3 different artists, where 4 songs qualified for the final, where was already one song (the second place from the previous Scorpiosong). This Scorpiosong was held in Vorhota, because Scorpionia couldn't find a suitable venue in the right time. So here's the list of participants on the Scorpiosong for NSC 18:

The finalists were chosen by 50% Scorpionian televoters, and 50% other country votes. And the winner was chosen by counting each country's votes regularly. So, in the end, Nuša Derenda with the song Devil won both the semi final and the final, and got the right to represent Scorpionia in NSC. She managed to qualify for the final, but she ended only 24th which meant that our next entry is also gonna have to qualify from the semi final.

ScoTV decided to use the same formula of choosing our song for the NSC as in the previous edition. So, the 9 songs in the semi final were:

Thalia with her song "Un alma sentenciada" managed to win the semi final, where the voting was 50% Scorpionia's televoters, and 50% other country's votes, but in the final, Infernal won with the song I won't be crying 10 pts in front of the semi final winner, and they got the right to represent Scorpionia on NSC 19. They won the semi final in Maccha-Brugia, but managed to get only the 6th place in the final. That meant that the next song that represents Scorpionia will be directly in the final. Congratulations Infernal!

ScoTV couldn't organise the national final this time, so we decided to send the song that finished 2nd in the last Scorpiosong. So, Thalia with the song Un alma sentenciada got the right to represent the country in the final of the NSC 20 held in Ugaly. In the end, she finished on a respectable 10th place.

Once again, ScoTV organised the famous "Scorpiosong", again in a new way! The competition was devided to a 9-song semi final, and a 9-song final, sang by all different artists. The 9 semi finalists were:

As soon as the semi finalists were announced, it was discovered that two songs already took part in the NSC, so they got disqualified. Those were "Kiss kiss" and "Stranger in my house". So, the best 5 (of 7 songs) qualified for the Grand Finale, where 4 songs were directly qualified, chosen by the managing director of ScoTV. The winners were chosen 50% by Scorpionian televoting, and 50% by other country's votes. Here are the finalists of this NF:

For the first time, the winner was also chosen 50% by Scorpionian televotes, and the other 50% by other country's votes. Krypteria with the song "Victoriam Speramus" won the semi final in front of BoA. But, the final was much different. We had a tie for the first place between EliZe and Melanie C. The final winner was decided by who got more points from the 'rest country's votes'. So, Melanie C with the song I turn to you got the right to represent Scorpionia in the NSC 21 in Alinta. She won the semi final of the NSC, and finished as 3rd in the final. This meant that the Scorpionian song for NSC 22 would be directly in the final, but Scorpionia decided to withdraw from that edition, because of an another contest, the Eurovision Song Contest.

Scorpionia is back! This time, the Scorpionian entry was chosen internally. The selection team was trying to be original for the 10th entry of the country in this contest, and chose the Power Ranger's Opening Theme to represent the country in NSC 23 in Maccha-Brugia. This is the first time that Scorpionia didn't qualify for the final, finishing only 14th in the first semi final with 48 points. So, ScoTV decided that the next Scorpionian entry would also be chosen internally, and that future Scorpiosong festivals will include only 2 or 3 songs. But neverthereless, we saw 3 artists, including 2 songs, from our last national final (Krypteria, EliZe - Automatic, and Morandi - Angels) taking part in this NSC. We wish them all the best!

After the failure to qualify for the final for the first time ever, ScoTV decided that the next entry should be also picked internally. First, Jeanette Biedermann was chosen, with the song Rockin' on heaven's floor, but we didn't know that the song took part in NSC 22. Later on, Jan Wayne was chosen with the song Because the night, but someone sent the song earlier than us. Third time lucky, Scorpionia choose to send Anastacia with the song Welcome to my truth to the NSC. Anastacia also failed to qualify for the final, ending up 14th in the semi final just as the Power Rangers.

It was time for Scorpiosong to be organized once again. Firstly, 10 songs have been chosen, all in Serbian language, to compete, but after the semi final results of NSC, it was decided that only 5 of these songs will take part on the NF (, and 5 others were chosen. Through a letter-guessing game of the firstly chosen 10 songs, the winner (Cydoni-Gibberia) got the right to vote in Scorpiosong, and affect the final results with 20%. 40% of the total score were votes from Scorpionia, and the rest 40% were rest countries votes. These results chose the top 3, and the winner was chosen only by Scorpionia. Here are the 10 songs that took part:

The results winner was Beyoncé with the song One night only, who was later chosen to represent the country in NSC in Vorhota. She managed to qualify for the final, and in the end, finished on a great 8th place.

Once again the national final was organized. 10 songs were chosen to compete, and the choosing formula was exactly the same as the last time. Only, this time, Scorpiosong was organized in Prasia, due to holidays in Scorpionia, and because of that, the Prasian votes were counted 20% of the total score. Here are the 10 songs that took part:

The top 3 are the bold, 4th and 5th are in bold italics, and all of them, except for the winner of course, got a second chance - places in the next Scorpiosong. The results winner was Krypteria with the song Victoriam Spearamus, who were chosen to represent the country in NSC in Belvist. Krypteria managed to qualify for the final being on 2nd place in the semi, and finishing 7th in the final. Due to withdrawal of Sillycone Valley in the next NSC, thanks to Krypteria, our next entry is directly qualified for the final!

Because of the national hollidays in Scorpionia, we were unable to hold a national final with 10 songs as intended. Instead, we held a 2 song national final, with one artist - Ultra Naté. The two songs in the contest were: Free and Automatic. With 6 votes (out of 10), it was chosen that our entry for the NSC 27 in Swelatie is Ultra Naté - Automatic! Ultra Naté took part directly in the final where she finished on a good 13th place!

A special national final to choose the 15th entry of Scorpionia was organized. There was a prequalification where a few countries were asked to give their votes, and help choose the top 6 which will enter the final. The finalists were:

- Romana - Nikad i zauvijek
- Krisztián Bartók - Tűz jöjj velem
- David Bisbal - Bulería
- David Guetta - The world is mine
Ten countries voted in the final, including Scorpionia, and the winner was Krisztián Bartók with his song Tűz jöjj velem. BoA and David Bisbal got a second chance - to take part in the next Scorpiosong. On NSC in Prasia, Krisztián managed to win the semi final 2, and later finish on an awesome 2nd place in the final! That means that our next entry is going to be one of the direct finalists... Congratulations, and thank you Krisztián!

Once again a NF called "Scorpiosong" was organized to choose the entry for Scorpionia. First, there was a 10-song semi final, from where 5 proceeded to the final (chosen 50% Scorpionian votes + 50% rest countries votes). Here are the songs (the ones in bold qualified for the final):

In the final, 14 countries voted, every votes were counted equally. Lara Fabian won this Scorpiosong with the song I will love again, in front of BoA and David Bisbal, who will once again get a second chance. Lara Fabian managed to win the NSC in Noizeland with 198 points! That means that the Nation Song Contest comes to Scorpionia for its 30th edition! Congratulations Lara, and thank you!

The Scorpionian NF for selecting the song for NSC has been organized once again, with 10 songs. But due to a lack of interest generally in national finals this time, and the lack of time Scorpionia had, the NF had to be cancelled. So, one of the 10 songs that actually took part in the NF were selected to represent the home country in the next NSC. After 16 years they are back! Crystal with the song Te vagy a jel. They are already in the final, due to the Scorpionian victory in the last NSC in Noizeland. Crystal managed to get an awesome 5th place in NSC XXX in Scorpionia, which means that our next entry is also directly qualified for the final! Congratulations Crystal!

Once again, Scorpionia selected its entry for NSC 31 in Shamitri internally. It is a song in spanish and english, sang by a spanish singer - Soraya will represent Scorpionia in the final of NSC 31, with the song La noche es para mi. Soraya ended up on a great 9th place, eventhough the song was sent in the meantime to the Spanish preselection for the Eurovision Song Contest! Congratulations Soraya, hope to see you on Eurovision stage!

Scorpiosong was organized once again to choose the representer of Scorpionian in NSC 32 in St. Lotus. This time, it was a "24-hour-NF", and 5 songs participated:

- Paolo Meneguzzi - Non capiva che l'amavo
- CoCo Lee - A love before time
- Kate Ryan - I surrender
The winner was chosen 60% rest country votes, and 40% votes from Scorpionia. The top 2 had the same sum of points (CoCo Lee and David Bisbal). The one with more points from the rest countries won - CoCo Lee with the song A love before time, and she got the right to represent Scorpionia in NSC 32. Unfortunately, she didn't manage to qualify for the final, achieving the second-worst result ever for Scorpionia. Because of this, it has been de3cided that Scorpionia will select it's next 2-3 entries internally.

As announced before, the Scorpionian entry for NSC 33 was chosen internally. After taking part a few times in the Scorpionian NFs, he finally got the right to represent the country! In NSC 33 in Begonia, Scorpionia will be represented by David Bisbal with his song Bulería. David managed to qualify for the final, and finish on a respectable 12th place in the final! Congratulations David, and thanks!

Scorpionia continues the internal selection in NSC 34 as well. This time, it is chosen that the band Army of Lovers will represent the country with the song Israelism. They hardly managed to get into the Grand Final, finishing 10th in the semi, but later, the finished on a fantastic 7th place in the final! Congratulations, and thanks Army of Lovers!

For NSC 35 in Qele, Scorpionia decided to go with a spanish song again. This time, the Diva, Mónica Naranjo was chosen to represent the country, with her song Europa. Mónica was expected to be in the top 3 of this NSC, but she finished 19th in the final, after qualifying for the final thanks to the rest jury votes!

For the fourth time in-a-row, Scorpionia chooses its song internally. This time a symphonic metal band Xandria was chosen to represent the country, with the song Ravenheart. They managed to win the semi final in Tir An Abhainn, but after that, they only achieved 15th place in the final. Congratulations to Xandria!

For this NSC, Scorpionia is back to having a NF. The NF is divided to a semi final, and a grand final. In the semi final 10 songs take part, and 5 of them will proceed to the final (50% Scorpionian televoting, 50% rest countries votes). The semi finalists are:

After the semi final started, it was announced that Enrique Iglesias will take part in a duet with Ciara on this edition of NSC, so the songs number 3 and 8 have been disqualified, but all countries should vote for these 2 songs too, so that the voting system is not changed. And we see some familiar faces in this NF - Ana Nikolić represented the country in AATW Srbija reaching 3rd place, Thalia represented Scorpionia once in NSC, finishing 10th, Beauty Queens, who were earlier chosen to represent the country, and later the song was changed, Beyoncé, who also represented Scorpionia on NSC, finishing 8th... The ones in bold qualified for the final. Thalia won the semi final, but after she managed to finish only 3rd in the final. The winner of this Scorpiosong is Bob Sinclair with the song Kiss my eyes. Although he easily qualified for the final in Vorhota, being 2nd placed in the semi final, in the final the same thing happened like last time with Xandria... Bob finished on a rather disappointing 12th place. Well, congratulations to Bob, he did his best!

Just like last time, Scorpionia organises Scorpiosong again. The rules are just the same like last time were. Here are the 10 participating songs:

The ones in bold qualified for the final. The surprise was that the previous runner-up in Scorpiosong didn't even qualify for the final this time. One of the none-qualifiers, the band Portecho, took part on a MSN NSC NG, and won it. Congratulations! They will have a chance to represent the country on the NSC as well. But, this time, the right to represent the country got the winner of the Scorpiosong festival, and it is Rebeca, who was previously chosen internally, and than replaced with an another song. In the end, Rebeca managed to bring Scorpionia back to top 10, and even more important - top 6! She managed to finish on a fantastic 4th place, which means that our next entry will be a direct finalist! Congratulations, and thanks Rebeca!

After a successful result in the last edition, Scorpionia chooses to make another NF, but with different rules. 10 songs take part again, but they are divided into 5 duels. The winner of each duel will make it to the final, and 1 wildcard will also be given a place in the final. Here are the duels in the semi:

The winners of each duel are in bold. One wildcard was added to the final, and it was Bea Bronchal (in bold and italic). Infernal were disqualified from the NF, because Lyapunovia sent this song to NSC, so it can't compete for both countries, and it won that duel by a landslide. Kylie got lucky to reach the final easily. The winner within the 6 songs was chosen 50% Scorpionian voting, and 50% other countries voting. And it is - Thalia! She will represent Scorpionia for the second time in NSC, this time with her song Arrasando. She got the luck to be directly in the final, just like the first time she represented the country, back in NSC20. In the end, Thalia finished on a great 7th place, with the same sum of points like the 6th place, but with less voters, so lost in the tie-break. Congratulations, and thanks to Thalia!

For NSC 40, after lots of arguments in ScoTV, the team decided to organise Scorpiosong again. 10 songs take part in the semi final, 5 of which are proceeding to the final (50% Scorpionian voting + 50% rest countries votes). The semi finalists are:

The ones in bold reached the final. After the rest countries votes, and Scorpionian televoting (which were for the first time exactly the same), the winner was chosen. It was Kate Ryan with the song I surrender. Kate will represent Scorpionia in NSC 40 in Canedonia and Lyapunovia! Kate managed to get into the final, and finish on a great 8th place. Congratulations Kate!

Again a national final was held to choose the Scorpionian entry for NSC. 10 songs took part, and the rules were exactly the same as the last time. The 10 competing songs were:

The finalists of this Scorpiosong are in bold. 15 countries + Scorpionia voted in the final. With 17 points, 5 from Scorpionia and 12 from the other countries, Lamph won this NF, and got the right to represent the country on NSC 41 in Comino with the song Róisín Dubh! As Kate Ryan finished 8th in the last NSC, and Zaprya and Luniana (both being top 6 in the last edition) didn't enter this NSC, meant that Scorpionia is a direct finalists. In the end, Lamph managed to finish 7th in the final. Congratulations and thanks to Lamph!

For the 6th time in a row, Scorpionia holds a national final to choose its entrant on the Nation Song Contest. The rules of the NF are exactly the same as the last time. This NF sees 3 former Scorpionian NSC contestants trying their luck again. Within those 3, one of them already took part twice, and won the contest once - Crystal! The other two are David Bisbal (who won AATW Spain), and Xandria. Here are the 10 participating songs:

The ones in bold qualified for the final. A big shock in the semi was Crystal not qualifying for the final, ending 7th in the semi. 14 nations voted in the final, and the winner was chosen. This time, it was Shiri Maimon with the song Now that you're gone, and though, she got the right to represent Scorpionia on NSC in Vorhota! Shiri made it to the final of this NSC, being the reju qualifier. But neverthereless, she managed to finish 3rd in the final! That means that the 30th Scorpionian entry in NSC will be an automatic qualifier. Congratulations to Shiri, and thank you!

After 6 editions where Scorpionia chose its entry over a NF, this time the national television decided that the country should go internally. As the 30th entry, it was chosen that the country should be represented by a girl band Vanilla Ninja, with the song Blue tattoo. They are automatically in the final, because Scorpionia finished in the top 6 in the last edition. In the Grand Final in Vegetaria, Vanilla Ninja managed to win, 2 points in front of the second placer - Zoidiac. Congratulations to Vanilla Ninja, and thanks for bringing back NSC to Scorpionia!

To choose the home entry, Scorpionia is holding a national final, once again. 10 songs take part, and the Scorpiosong rules are the same as usual. Here are the 10 participating songs:

The 10th song (sung by Hot Banditoz) was entered to this national final, by a former NSC participant - Xanadu, and eventually, it finished 8th. The ones qualified for the final. Eventhough David Bisbal won the semi, and Ani Lorak finished only 3rd, she later managed to win the final, and got the right to represent the home country on NSC 44, with the song I'm alive. Ani made a huge success for Scorpionia, winning the contest for the second time in a row! Congratulations, and thanks Ani!

The Scorpionian national broadcaster decided to choose the Scorpionian entry for NSC 45 internally. ScoTV, once again, chose Mónica Naranjo to represent the country, this time with her song Amor y lujo. Let's see if she can make a better success than the last time she took part for Scorpionia. Mónica improved a lot her previous NSC result back from NSC 35, and now she finished 3rd! Congratulations, and thank you Mónica!

ScoTV decided to hold a national final once again, to choose the Scorpionian entry. As always, 10 songs take part in the national final, but with some rules changed. The points of all the will be counted normally, but the Scorpionian. The home votes will be added to 7 nations, and those will be: 10,20,30,40,50,60, and 70 for the favourite one. 5 songs will qualify for the final, where the voting will be similar - Scorpionia will give points to 3 songs, and will give: 10, 20, and 30 points. After an extremely tight semi final, 5 songs (the ones in bold) proceded to the final. Eventhough Jamelia won the semi final, 2 points ahead of UPA Dance, the final results were other way around. UPA Dance won the final, with 18 points of difference, and got the right to represent Scorpionia in the final of NSC 46 in Fervorosia, with their song Sambame. Good luck UPA Dance!
